The process of a filling is not at all difficult. Dr.Berlin usually will first put local anesthesia to numb the area near the area where the restoration will occur. Next he will clean the area of decay-causing bacteria. With the decay removed, he will then be able to fill the space with the white putty- like material. The composite is shaped, hardened with a precise blue UV light and polished. The result is a filling that so closely resembles a natural tooth- most people will never know it’s there!
